MVKD formally resumes practice
We are happy to announce that MVKD will formally be resuming practice. The first class will be on Wednesday, May 4, at Menlo Church from 7:20 – 9:00 PM. Menlo Church is located at: 774 Cuesta Dr. Mountain View, CA 94040 Wednesday practices at Menlo Church will run from May 4 to August 31. The doors will be open at 6:00 PM for open gym (stretching, warm up, kata, etc.) until 7:15, then we’ll start practice at 7:20 PM. |
Impact of COVID19 Omicron variant on practice
Due to increasing number of infections kendo practice has been paused until further notice. |
Restarting practice
Mountain View Kendo Dojo is now practising on a limited basis, under the following restrictions:
There are no exceptions and we take the above very seriously in order to comply with Santa Clara County's COVID policies. Any violation may result in discontinuation of practice, so please help us make the return to keiko a success for everyone. Updated fee schedule for 2021
As COVID19 continues to impact our ability to host in-person training, the following is the fee schedule for dojo members in 2021. |
Dojo Closed until Further Notice due to COVID-19 Concerns
Please await an announcement on this website and on our mailing lists for a start date. |
Dojo on Hiatus due to COVID-19 Concerns
Due to the coronavirus, Mountain View Buddhist Temple is closed until April 12, 2020, therefore, MVKD will be suspending kendo practice until then. At this time we are not aware of any infections among dojo members but we have decided to halt kendo practice for general public safety. We will re-evaluate the situation after April 12. |
Practice at Peterson Middle School to be Discontinued
MVKD will no longer be practicing on Thursdays at Peterson Middle School. Until further notice, MVKD will only be practicing on Mondays. NCKF members may supplement their keiko by visiting our neighboring dojo with permission from sensei. |
